Praying and talking about our Father, before every surf session.
When we paddled out, we would say YHVH's prayer.
Actually, it went like this. As we paddled out - fighting incoming waves, diving under, we would say His Prayer, sometimes 2 or 3 times, depending how long it took to get outside the line up. Then, we would get close, sit up on our boards, and feel the ocean breathing between our legs, talking things of Holy Spirit and Yeshua and Dad...it was heavenly. We went for about 10 years, twice a week, then the boys kind of outgrew it, and our little group would shrink down to where it was just me or Nathan, but never together as things worked out.
They were the best of times; the hardest of times for we were so very poor. It kept us tight and we all loved sharing our daily Dad stories and experiences as a group and as individuals. It was and is, a very great blessing to have had that.
