Walking in a field,
Chatting with a friend,
Speaking of God's love for us,
And how it never ends.
Across in the distance,
a few doe we did spy,
out after sunset for dinner,
and feed their babies nearby.
Feeling eyes upon us,
we did turn around,
the doe we saw from afar
were now following yards away.
So we entreated our good wishes,
and Dads' blessings upon them,
the ladies of the mountain tops,
stayed with us all the while.
Having no camera or cell phone which doth spy,
My friend and I enjoyed their company,
for as long as it might last.
Finally, the darkening sky,
beckoned all to other places,
we parted with good love,
and a remembrance of this day,
the doe who joined our company,
to the ending of our stay.
Thank you Dad.
