Prayer doesn't do anything, that's just a bunch of hokum...

Really?
This actually happened, more than 20 years ago.
As it happens, at a big Theosophical, New Age event back in the day, it was put round that "the master" was going to make an appearance that night, in the auditorium. The auditorium was full of convention attendees who were there to hear the big bug gurus of the day - whom were all sitting on a stage, famous names - and the crowd was getting hysterical; chanting, singing, wailing...
The whole gang of new age devils were on hand. And so was this one, lone Christian, who was invited along as a last minute thing and who decided to go, to see this...so called "master of wisdom."
As it got nearer to the witching hour, it was put round that the master was none of other than Lucifer, who was going to show and do whatever. Really?
This I have to see.
In the meantime, the slits started emerging, black eyes, demonic shines...all around the place. A real gathering of the damned. And it's getting wild in there. Folks are just going bazonkers in anticipation for the event.
Then the big bug guru got on the microphone and started asking everyone to chant and follow along. Within a minute the whole auditorium was filled with these deep, guttaral and demonic tones that shifted the energy into an even darker dimension than was before. You could literally smell blood in the air.
And just before the hour, this little, quiet christian said our Father's Prayer in a barely audible voice that only they could hear.
Our Father, who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy Name....
etc.
All of a sudden a look of shock and panic appeared on the stage of big bugs. They looked at each other, their chanting stopped, looking frightened...scared...stupefied.
Finally, Mister Big Bug got up to the Microphone and said, "the master won't be making an appearance tonight." And then the gurus stormed off the stage, pissed off and angry. The whole crowd fell silent.
And quietly, like mice, filed out of the auditorium.
That was a good day.
