The key to survival in our times- emotionally and mentally - is to have a sense of humor. You have to be able to laugh and take all this in stride and it really helps, early on (to prevent psychotic episodes and breaks with mental rationality) to normalize this as a thing that is as normal as a cup of coffee or the leaf on a tree. Because otherwise, you get episodic distortions of reality, in your mind's eye, that becomes too dramatic for a soul to digest. And that can lead to complete mental breakdowns, schophrenic rages, and emotional collapse.
Thing to do is, as I demonstrate often. Learn to make retarded - yet highly accurate - jokes at your own expense and the expense of the lawless one and his legions. It helps break the terror that reality can provide to any soul. Horror movies become not movies at all, but documentaries.
Documentaries.
Then, of course, the reality is far worse than any movie has ever depicted itself. Ever. Combine that with the cold, the smells, the tightening oppression in the air, etc etc. You get the idea.
