Oh Father
Don Bradley September 18, 2006
You embrace me with Holy Fire
and I am filled.
Giving me strength of purpose for my day,
having all things complete within me.
Often does your cool breath brush the heat from my eye.
Verily, it was said, you are my strength and my buckler.
Always a presence of understanding to my errors.
Your ways are a mystery to all,
even I.
Standing firm as One, shielding me from all arrows of hate.
Lifting me up when I am weary, beckoning me
onward, upward, towards freedom's path.
Verily, it was said, “not a sparrow falleth...”
Every knee bends to you, My Father.
And whence shall danger come?
Not a day goes by that it flings itself toward me.
Doing right, as guided to be so,
I remain True and Faithful...
To your call, Your Love, Your Life
in the darkest hours.
Seeming beyond hope and reason –
Sun of Sons
Oh...All is and wil be, forever more...
Let it be so.
Don
