Thank Heavens these kind never get to live forever. Nothing they can do can buy them years beyond their due date. Nothing. This is what Madonna discovered, when all the promises of youth and beauty forever turned out to be horrific lies. The kuru disease, sepsis, anal warts, STDs, all pile up in the body and no amount of children's blood can make it go away. Same for the HIldebeast. They just end up smelling awful, with a breath that just stinks up a room.
The body starts falling apart. Sure, they can give you drugs to keep you going, to a point, but the old you is gone, gone, gone. You become a nasty hag, that no amount of makeup and lighting can hide. So, they do what they all do - embrace their hagness. Like Michele Lamey. Become and ugly creep thing and flaunt it. As they do.
By the time they learn that too much blood is a very bad thing, it's too late. The name is gone out of the book. Every sunset could be the last. Those glimpses of hell in their dreams and on their walls at night, reveal what's waiting for them. The demons, near the end, harass the witch by whispering their names, over and over again. "Soon, you'll join us." Is the oft repeated refrain.
Ironically, they end up saying to the demons, even before they pop off, "why are you doing this to me?"
The answer is simply the one they themselves said to sacrifice victims being raped, tortured and stabbed repeatedly in the chest with ritual knives. BECAUSE I CAN, I WILL.
And so it goes. For them all. The demons just throw their own words right back into their faces.
Madonna, for years, kept a painting of John the Baptist in her dining room and would often regale guests with her fantasies about if she were Salome, would she would have done with his head and body. Some pretty nasty stuff. Pure necromancy doings. Well, Salome and Herodias both did rituals with the head. And both were cursed ever more because of that.
