The Blanket of Life Tishrei 7-12

The Blanket of Life

By Morgan Franklin

O Yahuah, you are the warm Blanket that covers me on a cold night.

The Blanket that keeps me from the harsh elements of the evening.

The Blanket that is as strong as armor and protects me from evil.

The Blanket that is a joy to share to those who only have sheets.

The Blanket that I think about when I need peace in my spirit.

The Blanket that I can always come back to when forgotten.

The Blanket that I feel the presence of love between every knit.

The Blanket that covers the whole body with nothing exposed.

The Blanket that I yearn for, that no others will suffice.

The Blanket that I want to be clean and bathed for.

But I am dirty.

Thankfully, O Yahuah you sent a Cloth of the same knit.

The Cloth that washes and cleanses my filth away.

The Cloth that gives freedom from the old and creates the new.

The Cloth that allows me to rest with you forever and ever.

The Cloth that saved me, Yeshuah.

I really love Morgan's work. Breath of fresh air.
