Two Baptisms
Don Bradley AV 22
August 20th 2022
The False Teachers of men whom teach Torah and/or have ministries teach that the Apostles received the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem on Pentecost. That's a lie. The Holy word proves it out as such and I can, too.
First, John the Baptist (phonetically, Yah oo Ah non) early in his work as a prophet of the Most High and last prophet of the Old testament that the Messiah would baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with FIRE.
Holy Spirit and FIRE.
Matthew 3
11I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Two separate events, with separate and different outcomes. The false teachers proclaim that the disciples didn't get their gifts and powers until they were all gathered in Jerusalem on Pentecost, and spoke in tongues as well as being witnessed with flames over their heads. I can see where they get that; it does appear shimmer as a living thing and has a translucent blue radiance quality to it.
The false teachers also present the fire baptism to mean dealing with the chaff in end times, burning that up. That is not what YHVH is saying. The bible is a literal book. If He says there are two baptisms, there are two baptisms; not one baptism, and some unconnected spurious supposition that the second baptism has to do with burning the damned.
John is talking about two great gifts from Almighty God, YHVH, through Yeshua, His son, for us. One is the gift of the Holy Spirit and Bible proves that Yeshua breathes on the apostles, to give them the Holy Spirit, as a last thing to do before He rises to heaven until the second coming. His return.
John 20
19Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 20And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw Yeshua. 21Then said Yeshua (Jesus) to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. 22And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: 23Whosesoever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whosesoever sins ye retain, they are retained.
So clearly the reception of the Holy Spirit comes from Yeshua, through the breath (God breathes life into each baby at birth, through the baby's nostrils). It is an invisible thing, that the recipient feels in their soul, heart, body, and mind as a loving empowerment of grace and joy. This is the 1st baptism.
So what happened on Pentecost to the Apostles? What were those tongues of blue flames dancing over their heads and after, they were able to speak in tongues—which is the ability to speak in one's native tongue and yet any listener of any nationality hears you as if you were speaking in their native language.
Acts 2
1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
This is the 2nd baptism, the one of fire. (I call it the upgrade baptism, for that is what it has been to me, over a length of time, not all at once.)
False teachers and preachers (of satan) teach and give over a bunch of balderdash about mumbling and a jibbyjabby of incoherent noise. That is demon possession, onset whisperers infestation, it is not a thing of the Holy Spirit. YHVH is not the God of incoherent blabbering like an idiot.
The 2nd baptism gives over the gifts of spirit, spoken of by Yeshua and the Apostles scattered all through out the New Testament. These can range from healings...to whatever He chooses for you to have. For those having gone through the 2nd baptism, learning about these gifts becomes quite an adventure in their life.
Many will ignore what the Holy Word gives them and choose to follow and believe on false teachers for many reasons; some do so because they are knowingly in league with the enemies of Christ. Some never read the Bible. Never. Most have, but not in years nor do they intend to. You truly have to have the heart to want to be closer in life with both YHVH and Yeshua. Then, for you, the Holy Word is a treasure trove of wondrous knowledge, grace, mercy, and insight. It also clarifies the problem rather well of the issue of a world whereby two bloodlines (like Shakespeare, two households, both alike... - Romeo and Juliet) exist that are in direct conflict with one another except that one bloodline has no idea the other exists, or it would rise up in righteous anger for the evil done to it.
How do you get the 2nd baptism?
Well, the Word illustrates by example what kind of people most likely to receive this great blessing—the greatest there is, after salvation—but I suppose if you can answer, honestly and of a truth, yes to all of the following, it's coming. I am not permitted to discuss the event itself because that is something one has to go through. It's not a 10 second thing like your first baptism was; which rapidly descended upon you, bringing you in marriage with Yeshua. He came to lodge with you, in spirit. No other way to say it.
Do you truly feel love in your heart toward God/Yeshua, on any level that is genuine. When you love someone, no one has to tell you how that feels inside; it's wonderful.
When you think of Yeshua, even for an instant, do you instantly beam on the inside as well as outside? One smiles so much, folks think there's something wrong with you.
Does your heart yearn to be closer in your heart and mind, when you do think of Him?
Can you answer yes to all three?
I wish you well on your journey.

Postscript
Then what is the water baptism?
It signifies the cleansing of the body's sins, washing them clean (actually does that) that comes with the reception at the 1st baptism, which usually happens before the water baptism, when the person repents, surrenders to the Will of God, and is redeemed and baptized by Yeshua. This is why John the baptist said to Yeshua that he, John, needed to be baptized by Yeshua, not the other way around. He was quite right, but Yeshua had to go through everything man has to go through.
The water baptism also cleanses the etheric web about the body from the past life of errors, sins, corruption, etc, so the person won't be encumbered with the enormous debt load of baggage that weighs down a soul. A fresh start is promised and a fresh start is given.
Nehemiah 12
43Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
Catholic influences artist Dore; Yeshua was baptized by immersion, not a sprinkling, though the sprinkle is enough. |
